…I guess because I love my cello-playing friend zoe keating so much for her honesty, and her bravery, and her total transparency as an artist-person-writer in the face of the sudden cancer-death of her husband, jeff. 

she is an amazing collaborator and member of my musical family, but she’s an even more exemplary human creature.
