(public post)

there’s an entire article, here…

from which the still above was taken. (there’s some nice quotes from me and neil and a picture my mum took of the new baboo.)

anthony’s writing group “souled out artists” is doing a memorial/tribute tomorrow (today technically, it’s 2:50 am…friday to be exact) and reading a bunch of his writings, punctuated by music. it’s in lexington, ye olde hometown. neil can’t come, he’s in new york teaching. i’ll miss him a lot.

i feel a little too empty at the moment to say anything long and deep and profound about going. but i’m going, and i’ll be playing a few songs.

it’s free to the public, in a small church. if you’re around boston, you probably already know about this and are going.

if you’re around and don’t know and feel like joining a small gathering of people in a church in suburbia to celebrate the writings and life of a lunatic hero, come on over.

p.s. email weirdness continues in patreon-land (tests are being done. do not fret) and i’m hoping this reaches you all. if it does, and you weren’t aware that the boston book fest footage (of neil interviewing me) finally made it to youtube, it DID, and it’s HERE!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ov65ZuzLO8 (here on vimeo for the germans and youtube-haters: https://vimeo.com/144160889)

p.p.s. while we’re on the topic, if you’re reading this in email form, please click through to web and comment if this email reaches you, and send a hug. email shiznit aside…i feel sad tonight and could use it. hugs are nice. thanks.

Amanda, I received this loud and clear via BlogLovin’ and even tho you specifically requested email recipients to click thru and send you some hugs, I thought I’d send some from blog-land, because hugs are scrum-diddly-umptious regardless from whence they come, and I figure you ain’t too picky. Hope you feel better soon!

Amanda, I read the audible version of your book and that is the first exposure I had to your work. You gotta know, I think you are a truly amazing creative person! I love the people you love in the book, like Anthony, and I simply had to know whether or not Anthony could overcome his second bout with cancer, so I had to take a look at your blog. I am sorry to know he didn’t make it. Please accept my sincere condolences. I feel quite sure that he will be in touch with you from the “other side” just because he is such an amazing person like yourself. I don’t think death can keep you apart. I also watched your Ted talk. I loved the songs in the audible version of your book, too. Simply fabulous! You go girl!
