me & the danger ensemble are going to be presenting a VERY SPECIAL all-new insane new years show!
if you were at webster hall, be prepared, this show is completely different and we’re coming up with some completely ridiculous and beautiful and absurd material for the show.
the bowery ballroom is SMALL (only 550 people, about a third the size of webster hall) so tickets will SELL OUT. plan early, buy them NOW. ms. emilyn brodsky will be opening 2009.

in addition, when I found out that we were playing a LATE slot at the bowery, i wondered what we would actually be doing at midnight.
So me & The Danger Ensemble have decided to have a super-special party for anyone who wants to come, limited to only 58 people, at my friends incredible loft in Williamsburg (brian and i once did a photo shoot for Spin magazine there, it looks like an antique store exploded in the woods).
the tickets for the pre-party will be $100 and that will cover a ticket to the bowery show later that night, champagne at the party, and subway coordination over the bridge to the bowery. i don’t know exactly what we’re going to do, but it will involve weirdness, music, dancing, and possibly naked twister. if you already bought a ticket for the bowery, do not fret, we have $75 tickets that include all of the VIP perks only. we will be doing tickets through paypal’s site but they take all major credit cards so even if you don’t have an account you can still get into the show. to purchase tickets, please send your full name, quantity of tickets, and if you need your payment request sent to another address to nye [AT] amandapalmer [DOT] net. we will then fill the (first) lucky 58 requests and provide payment and party details. please note: there is an 6 ticket limit per person.
here is an example of what your e-mail should look like:
if there are tickets still available when we receive your e-mail, a “PayPal request” will be sent your way. Please fill this request (i.e. pay) within 48 hours or your tickets will be released and offered to the next person in line. Because there are so few slots for this, please only e-mail if you are committed to purchasing the tickets – please don’t take someone else’s chance away to hold tickets just to let them get released again. once you have filled the payment request, we will send you your VIP show ticket(s)…if you order the $100 version because you don’t have a Bowery ticket yet, it will be sent to you with your VIP ticket.
because of the booze and the law, this private event has to be 21+ or we could get in deep shit. but the SHOW ITSELF at the bowery is 18+. no one will be allowed entrance into the pre-party without a photo ID and their bowery ticket. PLEASE don’t forget that.
the pre-party will start at 10:30 PM.
