“There was a cabaret, and there was a Master-of-Ceremonies and there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany.
It was the end of the world…and I was dancing with Sally Bowles and we were both asleep…”

MEINE DAMEN UND HERREN, MES DAMES ET MONSIEURS, LADIES AND GENTELEMEN…

THIS FALL, WE PRESENT TO YOU

AFP
as
THE MASTER OF CEREMONIES

with
The American Repertory Theater

in
Kander & Ebb’s hit Broadway Musical

CABARET

at
OBERON in HARVARD SQUARE – CAMBRIDGE, MA

*directed by my mentor STEVEN BOGART*

*with choreography by my art-love-road-mate STEVEN MITCHELL WRIGHT of THE DANGER ENSEMBLE*

*musical direction by the inimitable & sexy LANCE HORNE*

this is a dream project i’ve been trying to put together with Steven Bogart (who many of you know from “with the needle that sings in her heart” play i did with lexington high school last year) for years and years…and the day has finally come.

the theater’s a 275-seat nightclub with booth and table seating that we’re going to trick out weimar-style.
we’ll be presenting a run of over 40 shows from early september through late october, and will have ticket info and all that fun stuff for you SOON; be sure you’re following the AFPwire twitter so that you know when it’s coming.

this show will be huge. amazing. not to be missed. the casting is not finalized, but you’ll be seeing lots of familiar faces, including STEVEN MITCHELL WRIGHT (who’s also choreographing), and possibly some members of the australian Danger Ensemble family. yes, THIS Danger Ensemble. you’ll also recognize Lance Horne from the many shows & collaborations we’ve done together all over the world (like this one). it’s going to be a tight family production and my heart is soaring with happiness that we’ve finally gotten this together with a theater as prestigious as the A.R.T.

we’re planning on a really INTERACTIVE and DARK show, with lots of room for INCLUSION from the local boston & NYC fanbase, so keep your eyes peels for opportunities over the summer to get involved in the creation and production of the show, from set construction to local weird street-team promotion to volunteer character brigade at the shows themselves.

i’ve also got a SWEET deal with the A.R.T. in which i get to book my OWN PARTIES and SHOWS *in* the set of the theater, late-night-ninja style, and i’m already working on a dream-list of guest artists to bring in. expect a flood of activity in the boston area for the whole fall as the troops descend on our fair hometown. i’m going to be keeping cafe pamplona in business single-handedly (it’s one block from the theater).

meanwhile, with all that time i’ll be locked-in at home in boston, i’m going to try and do all sorts of crazy hijinks. more webcasts, ninja gigs, maybe some podcasting, and whatever other craziness we can cook up. follow me on twitter and prepare to be ROCKED.

more soon. much love. amanda.

p.s. we just wrapped the evelyn evelyn tour here in europe. it was sublime. north america, we’re coming for you next. get your tickets HERE!

p.p.s. all the “official” info is up on the A.R.T. website…make sure and check that out, too. they’ll be posting packages and tickets for members-only, soon.
