THE REAL CONVERSATIONS OF NEIL GAIMAN and AMANDA PALMER part 23
…a tale told over the course of two nights, during two bedtimes.
**night one. 11 pm. neil and amanda are in bed. neil is very sleepy. they are conversing.**
neil:…and i just worry that everybody will think i am a freak.
amanda: you’re not a freak. i don’t think you’re a freak. or we are all freaks. but i don’t think you should worry.
neil: i am still afraid.
neil and amanda read books.
**three minutes later.**
neil: maybe i’m a bread roll.
amanda: …what?
neil: maybe i’m a bread roll.
amanda: what kind of bread roll?
neil: like…a dinner roll.
amanda: i’m not following you honey.
neil: …
amanda: neil?
neil: …
amanda: are you asleep?
neil: …
**night two. 11 pm. neil and amanda are in bed. neil is very sleepy. they are conversing.**
amanda: {discusses all sorts of things}
neil: {discusses all sorts of things}
amanda: ….hahaha oh shit do you remember what you said last night?
neil: um.
amanda: about the bread roll?
neil: what bread roll?
amanda: you said you were a bread roll maybe. or a dinner roll. and i didn’t understand. and then you fell asleep on me.
neil: …
amanda: neil?
neil: …
amanda: are you asleep again?
neil: …
amanda: neil? honey? why did you say you were maybe a bread roll?
neil: because they were looking at me.
amanda: ….
neil: …
amanda: neil…? what do you mean they were looking at you?
neil: {begins to snore lightly}
amanda: {starts laughing uncontrollably}

……..
in news…home in woodstock for the week before hitting the chicago theater on friday and then st. paul on saturday (o’shaunessy theater) for the There Will Be No Intermission tour.
they’re predicting a possible THIRTY INCHES OF SNOW in the midwest. it’s spring…? wtf. there will be no intermission indeed. next weekend i hit boston (orpheum theater) and NYC (beacon theater) and then i take a breather before the west coast.
