AFP Shatters Kickstarter Records; SF Show SOLD OUT!

Amanda Palmer has shattered records for crowd-funding musicians on Kickstarter. After reaching her initial goal of $100,000 in only seven hours, the presale has climbed to over $730,000! Last night, as a special treat to her backers, Amanda released an early taste of her new album. And now Check out the MP3 for “Do It with a Rockstar” below:

With the album set to drop in September, Amanda Palmer and her new band The Grand Theft Orchestra will embark on a six-city international tour consisting of Art & Acoustic Events and live rock shows in each city. Five of the six rock shows are SOLD OUT and ONLY available through Kickstarter. The visual art exhibits will feature the work of 30 contemporary artists including Shepard Fairey, Kristin Hersh (Throwing Muses), David Mack and Cynthia Von Buhler.
